Hurricane Sandy

- "Bismillah. Dear All, as you know, Hurricane Sandy has left many New Yorkers left still without power, many are in shelters and temporary housing, and our transportation issues still exist. Our ICNA chapter has been heavily involved with ICNA Relief in helping with recovery efforts in the fronts of mucking and gutting out homes, getting people registered with FEMA, and food & supply distributio
n. Our executive board has made a decision to cancel the upcoming conference on Islamophobia, allowing us to focus on Sandy recovery efforts, which is of highest importance right now. One of the most powerful ways to dissolve Islamophobia is through our actions. By joining in the efforts to help Sandy survivors, something that Islam enjoins Muslims to do, can effectively eradicate Islamophobia. We encourage everyone to join us in these efforts through your time, money and prayers. Please see http://icnarelief.org/
and http://muslimspitchin.org/
to see how you can help."
